10 Things That Fit and Healthy Women Do

Fit and healthy women

Do you ever think about what a small number of women do that makes them healthy? Their everyday healthy routines are what keep them healthy. They do the same things, but in a different way. Here are 10 things that fit and healthy women do that you should do this year to get healthier.

Healthy lifestyle habits

1. Women that are healthy don’t mix up health and weight

It’s easy to understand: thin doesn’t mean healthy.

Social media and the way the media shows attractive women have made us think that the thinner a lady is, the better. But being fit has nothing to do with how slender you are.

Instead of trying to lose all the fat in your body to fit into clothes that are really too small, you should focus on eating well and living a healthy life.

Make sure your body mass index (BMI) is right.

Not all of the fat in your body is unhealthy. You need some of it to be healthy.

2. They always eat breakfast.

Healthy breakfast

Not eating breakfast won’t help you lose weight or get healthier.

A good breakfast gives you energy and keeps you going until lunch.

A few years ago, I would miss breakfast because I was usually in a hurry to catch the bus or because I was too lazy to cook in the morning.

I thought that skipping breakfast would help me lose weight and save me time. But nothing like that happened.

I actually gained weight because I snacked on things that looked harmless till lunch.

Now, breakfast is my favorite and most important meal of the day. I still have a lot to do in the mornings, so I make breakfast at night. The idea is to plan your meals ahead of time.

3. Women who are healthy move their bodies.

Having a desk job and not moving around much can hurt your physique. To stay healthy, you need to work out.

I’m sure you already know how important exercise is. This idea isn’t new, and you presumably already know that.

But have you ever thought about what stops you from working out? Think about why you want to do it, work on it, and then get up and move.

For me, it was putting things off and trying to be perfect.

Before I joined the gym, I always believed I would work out. Or I would join the gym after I got a new job. I don’t have any money right now, or I’m busy, or maybe next month. I always had a reason not to work out.

They were excuses, not reasons, as I claimed.

You need to stop putting things off and start right away if this sounds like you.

It doesn’t matter if you can’t work out. Do some yoga or basic stretches. If it sounds hard to you, go for a stroll, jog, or ride your bike.

It’s easy to find solutions, just like it’s easy to make excuses. You should be ready.

4. They really like their food.

Women who are fit and healthy have a good connection with food.

Food that is good for you doesn’t have to be boring. Dark chocolate and whole wheat bread are also good for you, just like kale and spinach.

Don’t be too rigorous with your diet; be sure to eat fruits and veggies.

An apple won’t make you healthier, and a doughnut won’t hurt your health.

Eat without feeling bad. Eat the foods you enjoy, but not too much.

Eat pizza if you like it. You can eat it, but not every day.

When you are too rigorous with your diet and make yourself consume boring stuff, you are 10 times more likely to give up.

Try different things with your food to make it taste good.

5. They sleep well at night.

It’s time to go to sleep.

We all have watched too many episodes of our favorite Netflix shows and then forgot to go to bed.

Things that Netflix takes months to make can be done in only a few hours. But all that binge-watching comes at the cost of our sleep.

It’s really vital to have a decent night’s sleep. How well you slept the night before affects how well you do the next day.

Your body needs sleep and peace. Women who are fit and healthy should obtain 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night.

You should never give up sleep time.

6. They drink a lot of water.

There is around 60% water in the human body. Water is necessary for every cell in your body to work right.

Water is needed for every action in the body, from digestion to getting rid of pollutants.

Always have a bottle of water with you. Even if you’re not thirsty, take a sip every few minutes.

It is best to drink at least eight glasses of water per day. This should be enough water for you to drink every day.

It’s usually preferable to drink water evenly throughout the day than to drink four glasses in the morning and then forget to drink water for the rest of the day.

And don’t forget that beer isn’t water.

7. Women that are healthy know how to limit their portions.

I think that no meal is terrible or unhealthy as long as you eat it the proper way and in the right amount.

People have started to think badly of carbohydrates, but I think it’s more of a trend than a fact.

Carbs are good for you. Anyone who knows biology and how the food we eat converts into energy will tell you that your body needs carbs to work. This is basic science.

Instead of cutting out whole food groups, try to control how much you eat.

It’s okay to be confused since there is too much information on the internet.

Some fitness experts have made us think that living a healthy life and eating a good diet is harder than it is.

Eat the foods you love from your culture. It’s not a problem. Don’t eat too much of anything and you’ll be OK.

8. They don’t go hungry.

I was looking through Instagram the other day when I saw this video called “how I turned from this to this.”

The woman revealed how she went from being obese to being so thin that it was hard to believe in just 30 days. I was startled to see it and chose to stay to hear her recommendations.

Her first idea was to eat 1200 calories a day.

When you can easily afford food, “eat 1200 calories a day” is a great way to express “starve yourself.”

You need more than 1200 calories if you are a grown lady and not a baby.

Those slim women who say they eat 1200 calories a day are not healthy. They are slim in a way that is quite bad for their health.

Being skinny does not mean you are healthy, as I have emphasized before.

9. Women who are fit and healthy read labels

Before you buy food, always read the labels.

People get paid thousands of dollars to make you want to eat bad food.

Food businesses know that people are more health-conscious than ever, so they are coming up with new ways to deceive us into buying junk food.

Just because a product says it’s good for you doesn’t imply it works.

To find out the facts, look at the nutrition label and the list of ingredients.

Everyone has different needs, so choose the product that works best for you. Don’t allow TV make that choice for you.

10. Healthy women put their mental health first.

Your mental health is just as vital as your physical health.

You could have the nicest body in the world, but if your mind isn’t at peace, you won’t be happy.

Look after your mental wellness.
