These are easy things you can do every day to get healthier. You will feel terrific if you add these 10 items to your life.
With everything going on in the world right now, I wanted to write down some of my best advice. I know we’re not really on paper here on the blog, but you get the idea.
I want you to be able to come to SQ and not only get ideas for your kitchen, but also learn how to be healthy. That’s what we’re going to talk about today. Here are 10 really easy methods to keep healthy! These guidelines are easy to follow and I want you to make them a habit.

Ten Simple Ways to Stay Healthy
If you’re trying to avoid being sick, are around sick people, or just want to take better care of yourself in general, I hope you can include these 10 easy strategies to remain healthy to your daily routine. I want them to become a part of my life. We should all do these activities every day to be healthy.
And you know what? They’re really easy to understand!
1. Clean your hands
Your mom usually tells you to wash your hands when you were a kid. And it’s very crucial! You should wash your hands every time you come inside. Keep your hands clean by using soap and hot water (the best) or hand sanitizer. And don’t touch your face when you’re out and about. We touch a million different things every day, and those germs and bacteria get on our hands and into our bodies. So, attempt to fight it off by keeping your hands as clean as you can.
2. Stay away from sick people
This is another obvious piece of advice: stay away from sick individuals. If you see someone cough or sneeze, go away from them. Put your hands over your mouth and nose. If someone in your office is sick, try to meet online. If there is something going around the school, you might want to think about keeping your child home. Just do your best to stay away from sick people.
3. Eat meals that are whole
We all know that what we eat has a big effect on our health. And we should do this all the time. Eat foods that are whole. Fruits, vegetables, and whole grains should make up most of your diet. Don’t eat processed foods. One of the best things you can do for your health is to make sure you’re eating a lot of healthy foods. Whole foods are full of vitamins and minerals that are good for your immune system, fight cancer, and love your gut. They will do wonders for your health.

4. Drink less booze and eat less sugar
Number four on our list of methods to keep healthy isn’t something you have to do all the time, but you should definitely do it when you’re sick or trying to fight something off. Sugar and alcohol are bad for both our gut and our immune system. They can also impair our sleep, which is equally bad for our health. I’d say to just try to cut back when you can and limit how much you eat!
5. Work out often
Moving your body every day not only helps you sweat off pollutants, but it may also help your lungs stay healthy by getting rid of bacteria. Exercise is helpful for your circulatory system and helps blood flow, which lets your cells and immune system substances move around your body more easily so they can do their duties better. Exercise can be anything, including yoga, pilates, power walking, jogging, weight lifting, spinning, and more. There are endless options. Every day, it’s crucial to get your heart rate up and your blood flowing.

6. Drink plenty of water
Again, one of the best ways to keep healthy is to drink enough water and be hydrated. It helps get rid of toxins and waste from the body, which makes your immune system better able to combat illnesses. Your immune system can’t work while your body is full with pollutants. Water also brings oxygen into our cells, which is necessary for our bodies to work correctly. If we don’t drink enough water, we could have a lot of problems. I think you should try to drink at least half of your body weight (in pounds) in ounces of water every day. So, if you weighed 150 pounds, you would need to drink at least 75 ounces of water.
7. Get some vitamin C
We didn’t really talk about individual vitamins in this piece, but I want to at least bring up one: vitamin C. Thousands of studies have demonstrated that vitamin C is good for your immune system and your health in general. If you’re feeling weak, I recommend taking a vitamin C pill. But if you’re just going about your daily life, I think receiving vitamin C from whole foods is OK. Oranges, grapefruits, lemons, and even pineapples are all full in vitamin C!
8. Look after your stomach
About 70% of our immune system is in our gut. So, when our stomach isn’t pleased, our immune system isn’t as strong. We need to eat things that are good for our gut to help it. Include foods that are high in probiotics in your meals, such as yogurt, kimchi, and sauerkraut. You might also want to think about taking a probiotic. Another thing we can do to help our gut health is to cut back on sugar and alcohol. Those two things nourish bacteria and could make too many of the dangerous ones grow.
9. Get enough rest
Sleep helps us deal with stress, but it also keeps us motivated to move, gives us more energy, keeps our metabolism in check, and can even help us lose weight. Studies have indicated that those who don’t get enough sleep are more likely to get sick after being around someone who is unwell. That’s because our immune system makes proteins that help fight infections and inflammation when we sleep. Also, when you don’t get enough sleep, your body’s cells and antibodies that fight infections are less effective. As an adult, you should try to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. Teens and kids need more sleep than that.
10. Take care of your stress
You may have heard that stress is a “silent killer.” In other words, they mean that stress is very bad for our health and happiness. I actually published a post that talks about the five ways that stress may hurt your body. Read it for more information. But on a bigger scale, we need to handle our stress in order to stay healthy. We should do things that help us relax, like reading, cooking, dancing, laughing, playing, and working out. We need to do everything we can to keep stress from taking over our lives and hurting our health in big ways. If you need some ideas, here are 10 methods to relax:
