Instructions

Cut your lime in half and juice it until you have 1 ounce. Put aside. - Mix the ingredients together.
Put 2 oz of white rum, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, ¾ oz of simple syrup, and a handful of ice in your cocktail shaker.

- Give it a shake
Close the lid tightly and shake it hard for about 15 seconds, or until the shaker feels very cold. - Strain and serve
Pour the cocktail into your chilled coupe glass twice. If you want, you can add a thin lime wheel to the rim as a garnish. Cheers!
Tips for the Perfect Daiquiri
- Fresh is Best: Always use lime juice that you just squeezed. Bottled juice won’t give you that bright, zingy flavor.
- Taste as you go to get the perfect balance! Add a little more simple syrup if you want it to be sweeter. Want more sourness? A little more lime juice does the trick.
- Shake It Like You Mean It: Shake the drink really hard until the shaker feels really cold. This cools the liquid down and makes it feel soft.
- Double Strain: When you pour, use a fine mesh strainer to capture any little pieces of ice or pulp so that the finish is smoother.
- Keep It Cool: Before serving, put your coupe glass in the freezer for a few minutes. It makes a great difference!
Variations & Substitutions
- No Simple Syrup? Use a teaspoon of superfine sugar since it melts fast.
- If you don’t have white rum, light gold rum will work too, but it will taste better.
- Add a little bit of fruit puree, such as strawberry or mango, to make it fruity.
- Virgin Version: For a limey mocktail, skip the rum and use soda water instead.
Storage
It’s ideal to drink daiquiris right after they are produced. You can keep lime juice in the fridge for up to two days if you have some left over. You can keep leftover simple syrup in the fridge for up to a month.
