Tips for Making Ahead
You can make the espresso and let it cool down ahead of time. Put it in the fridge until you’re ready to make the drink. Pre-chilling your martini glasses also saves time when you’re making them for a lot of people.
Helpful Tips
- Chill Your Glasses: Put your martini glasses in the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. It adds a frosty touch to the drink and keeps it colder for longer.
- Make Strong Coffee: Use a strong brewed coffee or bold espresso to bring out the coffee flavor. Don’t cut corners on quality!
- If you have vanilla vodka, use it! It makes the tiramisu taste even sweeter and adds to the overall effect.
- When you dust cocoa powder, use a small sieve to evenly spread it out on top to make it look like it came from a café.
- Before you make the drink, drizzle the chocolate sauce inside the glasses. This will make them look great when you serve them.
Changes and Substitutions
- No Vodka? Use more Baileys or coffee liqueur instead.
- If you don’t want to drink alcohol, leave out the vodka and replace the Baileys and Kahlúa with coffee creamer and decaf coffee.
- Instead of heavy cream, use coconut cream or almond milk cream.
- Add a splash of hazelnut syrup or vanilla syrup to make it taste sweeter.
Food that is left over and how to store it
You should drink this cocktail right away, but if you make more than you need, you can keep it in a sealed container in the fridge (without ice) for up to a day. Before serving again, just shake or stir it.
