Banana Caramel Frappé
On a hot day, nothing beats a cold, creamy frappé, especially one with bananas and caramel!
This Banana Caramel Frappé is rich, cold, and just the right amount of sweet, with a hint of vanilla.
You only need a few simple things to make it, and everyone in the family will love it.
Plus, it’s a lot cheaper (and even better tasting) than getting one at a coffee shop.
Let’s mix up something tasty!

- 1 big ripe banana, cut up and frozen
- 1 cup of milk (whole, oat, or almond)
- 1 cup of ice cubes
- 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling

Cups and spoons for measuring
A tall glass
Spoon for pouring
Instructions
- Put the ingredients in the blender.
Put 1 cup of milk, 1 sliced frozen banana, 1 cup of ice cubes, 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract in the blender. - Mix until smooth
Begin blending at a low speed and then raise it to a high speed. Blend for 30 to 45 seconds, or until everything is smooth and creamy.

- Pour caramel into the glass
For a pretty look, take your serving glass and swirl extra caramel sauce inside it. - Pour and add whipped cream on top
Pour the blended frappé carefully into the glass that has been set up. Add whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel on top. - Add the garnish and serve!
For an extra treat, sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top. Serve right away with a straw and enjoy!
Tips for the Best Frappé
- Use frozen bananas to make the frappé thick and creamy without adding more ice. Add more ice if you don’t have frozen bananas.
- Check the sweetness before serving! Add more caramel or a little honey if it doesn’t taste sweet enough.
- Blend in stages: Start slow to break up the ice, then turn the blender up high to make it smooth and creamy.
- Make it even better: Pour some caramel into the glass before you pour the drink. It looks fancy and tastes even better.
- Fun for kids—let them add extra whipped cream, sprinkles, or chocolate chips to theirs!
Variations
- Dairy-Free? Use oat, almond, or coconut milk and skip the whipped cream.
- No caramel? Instead, use maple syrup or honey.
- Coffee Boost? For a caramel banana coffee frappé, add ¼ cup of cold brew.
- Add ¼ cup of Greek yogurt or a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the mix.
Storage Tips
This drink is frozen, so you should drink it right away. If you have leftovers, you can freeze them in an ice cube tray and then blend them again with a little milk later.
Put it in the fridge for a few hours. It will melt, but it will still taste great. Just shake it before you drink it!
