Tips & Storage

Freshly baked blueberry banana bread with crumb topping

  • Use bananas that are quite ripe. The riper they are, the sweeter and tastier your bread will be.
  • To keep the blueberries from sinking, toss them in a little flour before adding them to the batter.
  • Don’t combine too much! For the fluffiest texture, mix the batter only until it is smooth.
  • For a better crumbly texture, chill the crumb topping for 5 minutes before putting it on.
  • Let the bread cool before cutting it so it stays together wonderfully!
  • You can keep it at room temperature for two days or in the fridge for up to five days in a container that doesn’t let air in.
  • You can freeze individual slices for up to three months. Just thaw them out and enjoy!
