If you haven’t tried dirty soda yet, you’re in for a treat!
This Caramel Chaos Dirty Soda is full of caramel flavor and has a creamy, fizzy texture.

A great treat for the kids, a sweet pick-me-up in the afternoon, or a movie night.
Let’s get mixing!
Tools & Ingredients

- Tall glass
- Spoon or straw for stirring
- Measuring spoons
- A bag with a rolling pin or an ice crusher to break up the ice
- 1 cup cola (any brand you like)
- 2 tablespoons caramel syrup (plus extra for drizzling)
- 2 tablespoons of half-and-half (or heavy cream for a richer taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup crushed ice
- Whipped cream (for topping)
Preparation Tips
Chill your glass by putting it in the freezer for a few minutes before you make your drink. This will make everything even colder.
Use crushed ice – It melts slower and blends better with the flavors.
Drizzle caramel within the glass. This makes it look much better and provides more caramel flavor!
Gently stir everything together so that it stays effervescent.
Add a little extra flair with a rim dipped in caramel or a sprinkle of sea salt.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Drizzle caramel inside the glass
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of caramel syrup along the inside of your glass before you pour anything in. For that expensive coffee shop look, let it drip down. - Add ice
Fill the glass halfway with crushed ice to keep it nice and cold. - Pour in the cola
Pour 1 cup of cola over the ice slowly. The bubbles will look great when they fizz! - Put in cream, vanilla, and caramel.
Pour in 1 tablespoon caramel syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons half-and-half. See how the cream swirls into the soda. - Stir gently
Use a straw or spoon to gently mix everything together until it is smooth.

- Add whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel on top.
Put a lot of whipped cream and a little bit of caramel syrup on top to finish it off.
Variations & Storage
No soda? For a fun twist, try root beer or Dr. Pepper.
Dairy-free? Use coconut cream or almond milk.
Less sweet? Use sugar-free soda and caramel.
Extra caramel? Put a drizzle of caramel inside the glass and on top.
Dirty soda is best enjoyed right away, but if you need to save it for a bit, keep it in the fridge without ice for up to 2 hours. Just give it a quick stir before drinking!

That’s it! A creamy, fizzy, caramel-packed dirty soda that’s fun to make and even more fun to drink. Try it out, snap a pic, and let me know in the comments how yours turned out. What are your favorite soda flavors? I’d love to hear! 💛
