Chocolate Peppermint Fudge

This Chocolate Peppermint Fudge is going to be your new favorite Christmas treat if you like chocolate and peppermint together.
It tastes cool and festive because it has just the right amount of peppermint in it.Also, it’s quite easy to make: just melt, combine, and chill.
Let’s get this done!
Ingredients & Kitchen Tools

- 2 cups of chocolate chips that are only a little sweet
- One can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp of peppermint essence
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- ½ cup of crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
- Extra crushed peppermint and a drizzle of white chocolate are optional toppings.
- A medium-sized pot
- A spatula
- Baking dish that is 8 by 8 inches
- Paper for parchment
- Rolling pin (to crush mint)
- Cutting knife
Tips for Success
- Don’t use too much peppermint.A little peppermint extract goes a long way. One teaspoon is the right amount.
- Use candy canes that are still fresh. They shouldn’t be sticky; they should be crunchy. This stops them from melting into the fudge.
- Put parchment paper on the bottom of the pan.It makes it so much simpler to get the fudge out.
- Let it sit for a while.Put the fudge in the fridge for at least three hours before cutting it so it keeps its shape.
- Add some additional cheer! You can add white chocolate on top or mix together dark and white chocolate for a peppermint bark look.
Instructions

- In a saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir them regularly until they are smooth.
- Take it off the fire and mix in the peppermint extract and salt.
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, then pour the chocolate mixture out evenly.
- Put crushed peppermint candies on top and press them in a little bit.
- Put in the fridge for at least three hours or until it is firm.
- Once the fudge has firm, use the parchment paper to take it out, cut it into pieces, and drizzle melted white chocolate on top for extra flare.
Variations and Alternatives
- No peppermint oil?For a natural flavor, use crushed peppermint candies.
- If you don’t want dairy, use coconut condensed milk and dairy-free chocolate.
- For a crunchy version, add 1/2 cup of chopped almonds or cashews for more texture.
- For a gentler, creamier fudge, use milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet.
Storage & Serving

Keep in the fridge in a container that doesn’t let air in for up to a week.
You can freeze it for up to three months. Before serving, let it thaw in the fridge.
That’s all there is to it; your Chocolate Peppermint Fudge is done! It’s rich, chocolatey, and minty, which makes it wonderful for the holidays or any time you need a little chocolate-peppermint magic. Give it a shot, snap a picture, and tell me how it went. Enjoy your snacks! 🎄🍫
