Serve in tall glasses
Instructions
Step 1

Mix together 1 bottle of red wine, 1 cup of cold coffee, 1/4 cup of coffee liqueur, 1/4 cup of orange juice, and 1/4 cup of simple syrup in a big pitcher. Mix by stirring.
Step 2
Put in the fresh berries, orange and lemon slices, and the other fruit. Stir gently to mix.
Step 3
Put a lid on the pitcher and put it in the fridge for at least an hour (or up to four hours) to let the flavors mix.
Step 4
Put ice in tall glasses and pour the sangria over them, making sure that each glass has some fruit in it.
Step 5
For a splash of color and taste, you can add a sprig of fresh mint on top. Serve right away!

Tips and Variations
- Put the sangria in the fridge for at least an hour. This will help the flavors mix.
- To get the optimum balance of flavors, use a light, fruity red wine.
- Add more or less simple syrup to change the sweetness to your desire.
- No liqueur made from coffee? You can leave it out or add a little vanilla essence for a bit of sweetness.
- Want it to be stronger? Put some rum or brandy in the mix.
- Do you like white wine? Instead of red wine, consider a crisp white wine and cold brew instead of ordinary coffee.
- You can mix the sangria (without the ice) a few hours before you need it and preserve it in the fridge. When you’re ready to serve, just add ice and fresh mint.
- You may keep leftover sangria in the fridge for up to two days without ice. Before you serve it again, give it a thorough stir.
