The Cranberry Rosemary Spritz

Cranberry Rosemary Spritz drink in a glass with rosemary garnish

Hello, friend!

The Cranberry Rosemary Spritz is one of my favorite drinks for when you want to feel fancy but don’t want to spend a lot of time getting ready.

This drink is great for parties and holidays because it’s cool and has a tart cranberry taste with a hint of fresh rosemary.

It’s very easy to make, and it looks great in a glass. Bonus?

The kids can also have a version without alcohol. This drink will impress no matter what the occasion is, from a casual weekend to a big family gathering.

Let’s get started. You’ll be surprised at how easy and beautiful this is to make!

Equipment and Ingredients

Equipment and ingredients for Cranberry Rosemary Spritz

  • A big glass
  • A small pitcher or mixing glass (not required)
  • Tray for ice cubes
  • Spoon for stirring
  • A fork or a citrus juicer for squeezing the lime
  • ◯ 1/2 cup of cranberry juice, either sweetened or unsweetened
  • ◯ 1/4 cup of club soda or sparkling water
  • ◯ 1/4 cup ginger ale (or Prosecco for the grown-up version)
  • ◯ One tablespoon of fresh lime juice, which is about half a lime.
  • ◯ Cubes of ice
  • ◯ A small handful of fresh cranberries for garnish
  • ◯ 1 to 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • ◯ If you want it sweeter, you can add a little simple syrup or honey.

Instructions

Making the Cranberry Rosemary Spritz in a glass with ice and cranberries

  1. Put ice cubes in a large glass.
  2. Over the ice, pour in half a cup of cranberry juice and one tablespoon of lime juice.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of ginger ale (or Prosecco for the adult version) and 1/4 cup of sparkling water.
  4. Add a few fresh cranberries and a sprig of rosemary to the top. Stir it up quickly and enjoy!

Tips for Best Results

Calm everything down! Before you make the drink, put your cranberry juice, sparkling water, and ginger ale in the fridge. A drink that is cold is always better!

Use rosemary that is still fresh. The oils from fresh rosemary give the drink its unique herbal flavor, and it’s a pretty garnish.

Don’t use too much rosemary. One sprig per glass is enough, believe me!

Instead of Prosecco, use more ginger ale or sparkling water to make a fun, fizzy mocktail for kids.

Put it in a pitcher. For easy serving at parties, multiply the ingredients and mix them in a big pitcher.

Variations and Storage

  • No ginger ale? Instead, drink tonic water or lemon-lime soda.
  • To make the drink sweeter, add a teaspoon of simple syrup or honey to taste.
  • For a different flavor, you can use lemon juice instead of lime juice.
  • If you don’t like rosemary, try thyme or mint as a garnish.

You can squeeze the lime juice ahead of time and keep it in the fridge.

Mix the cranberry juice, lime juice, and sweetener (if using) in a pitcher ahead of time if you’re serving a lot of people. Right before serving, add the fizzy drinks and ice.

You can keep the cranberry juice and lime juice mix in the fridge for up to three days if you made too much.

To keep the fizz, don’t mix the sparkling water, ginger ale, or Prosecco. Put them in right before serving.
