Double Chocolate Protein Shake

Ingredients & Tools

- Blender
- A tall glass
- Spoon for putting chocolate on top of
- 1 cup of milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- One scoop of chocolate protein powder
- 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder (for more chocolate taste)
- ½ frozen banana (to make it creamy)
- 1 tablespoon of almond butter or peanut butter (for richness)
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ½ cup of ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips without sugar (for a double chocolate impact!)
Toppings (optional but tasty!):
- A drizzle of melting chocolate without sugar
- Shavings of dark chocolate
- Whipped cream (not required, but delicious!)
Instructions

- Put the ingredients in the blender.
Put milk, chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, banana, almond butter, vanilla extract, ice cubes, and chocolate chips in a blender. - Mix until smooth.
Blend on high for 30 seconds, or until the mixture is thick and creamy. - Fill the glass.
Put the thick shake in a large glass. - Drizzle chocolate over top (optional but great!).
Add some melted chocolate that doesn’t have any sugar to the glass for extra richness. - Add the garnish and serve.
Add whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and a little dusting of cocoa on top.
Tips & Variations
- Use a banana that has been frozen! It makes the shake thick and smooth.
- Want it to be even richer? Add an extra tablespoon of cocoa powder or half a cup of Greek yogurt.
- Make it without dairy! Almond, oat, or coconut milk are good choices.
- More chocolate? Use chocolate extract instead of vanilla extract.
- Do you like it cold and thick? Mix with more ice or frozen almond milk cubes.
- No protein powder? Add ½ cup of Greek yogurt to your diet to get more protein.
