Preparation Steps

Champagne flute rim coated with honey and pastel sanding sugar

  1. Dip the edge of your champagne flute into honey or simple syrup, then cover it with colored sanding sugar.
  2. Put 2 ounces of fresh orange juice into the champagne flute with the rim.
  3. Slowly pour 4 oz of champagne into the glass, letting the bubbles rise.
  4. Put a marshmallow Peep on the edge of the glass.

Tips & Variations

  • Use champagne that is cold! It makes the drink even more refreshing.
  • Be creative with juice! For a fun twist, use pineapple, mango, or strawberry juice instead of orange juice.
  • Make it without booze! Instead of champagne, try sparkling lemonade or ginger ale.
  • Get your Peeps to match! Use sanding sugar in different colors to match the Peep on top.
  • More fancy? For a layered look, add some grenadine!
  • No booze? Instead, drink Sprite or sparkling water.
  • Would you like it sweeter? A little vanilla syrup or peach nectar will do.
  • A tropical twist? For a light, tropical feel, mix coconut water and pineapple juice.
  • Fresh is the best way to enjoy! Keep the champagne cold if you’re creating a batch, and add it just before serving.
