This Hazelnut Mocha Smoothie is going to be your new favorite if you like chocolate, coffee, and nuts together.
It has a lot of cream and flavor, and it offers you a little caffeine kick to start your day (or keep it going).
It also tastes like a drink from a nice coffee shop, but it’s more cheaper and better for you!
Let’s mix this up.

Ingredients & Tools
- Blender
- Spoons and cups for measuring
- Knife (to cut the banana, if you need to)
- 1 cup of milk, either dairy or non-dairy
- One banana that has been frozen
- One shot of espresso or half a cup of strong brewed coffee that has cooled down
- 2 tablespoons of hazelnut butter
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
- 1 to 2 teaspoons of maple syrup or any sweetener of your choice
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A handful of ice

Preparation & Instructions
1. Make the coffee and let it cool.
If you’re using hot coffee, let it cool down all the way before mixing it.
2. Mix everything together
Put everything in a blender. Mix until smooth and creamy.

3. Serve and pour
Pour into a glass, add whipped cream and more hazelnuts if you desire, and enjoy!
Tips & Variations
- No espresso? Use instant coffee; just mix 1 teaspoon with hot water and let it cool.
- Too thick? To change the consistency, add extra milk.
- More protein? Add a scoop of vanilla or chocolate protein powder.
- Is there a nut-free option? Use sunflower seed butter instead of hazelnut butter.
- Make it even more decadent? Before blending, pour some chocolate syrup on top.
- Not a banana? For creaminess, use ½ cup of Greek yogurt or avocado.
- No caffeine? Instead of coffee, try chicory coffee or just skip it.
- Various nuts? Peanut butter or almond butter also work!

Additional Notes
Make the coffee ahead of time and put it in the fridge.
Put everything in a freezer-safe bag ahead of time, except for the milk, so you can quickly blend and go!
Fresh is the best way to enjoy! But if you need to, you may keep it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Before you drink, shake it.
Put leftovers in an ice cube tray and freeze them. Then, mix them with new milk later.
You’ll want to make this smoothie all the time because it’s so easy and tasty. Try it out and tell me what you think in the comments. Do you have any fun twists? Tell them! ☕🍫🌰💛
