Ingredients and Equipment

Ingredients for caramel white mocha iced coffee on table

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • ½ cup milk (whole or your choice)
  • 2 tbsp white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp caramel sauce (+ extra for drizzling)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Bowl that won’t melt
  • Coffee mug or measuring cup
  • Tall glass
  • Spoon for stirring

Instructions

Melting white chocolate chips with milk in saucepan

  1. Put the white chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of milk in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir them constantly until they are smooth. Remove from heat.
  2. In a coffee mug or measuring cup, mix together the cooled coffee, caramel sauce, sugar (if using), and vanilla extract until everything is well mixed.
  3. Pour the melted white chocolate mixture into the coffee mixture, stirring well. Then add the remaining ½ cup of milk and stir again.
  4. Put ice cubes in a tall glass, then pour the coffee mixture over the ice.
  5. Add whipped cream and a lot of extra caramel sauce on top.

Tips and Variations

  • Brew your coffee ahead of time – Let it cool completely to prevent a watered-down drink.
  • Use high-quality caramel – A thick, rich caramel sauce makes a big difference in flavor.
  • Change the sweetness: Add more sugar or caramel if you want it sweeter; if you don’t, take some away.
  • Chill your glass. A cold glass keeps your iced coffee from melting too quickly.
  • For a frappe vibe, mix everything together with ice in a blender to make it thicker.
  • If you don’t want to use dairy, you can use almond, oat, or coconut milk.
  • No sugar: Use sugar-free caramel and sweeteners instead for a lighter drink.
  • Stronger coffee: Use cold brew instead of regular coffee for a bolder flavor.
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but you can store the coffee mixture (before adding ice) in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Make a batch and keep it chilled for quick iced coffee anytime!
  • Freeze leftover coffee in ice cube trays to use later without watering down your drink.
