Tips & Variations
- Use frozen coffee cubes. Freeze leftover coffee in an ice cube tray and use them instead of regular ice to make your coffee taste stronger.
- If you don’t like bananas, try half an avocado instead for creaminess.
- To change the sweetness, add more maple syrup if you want it to be sweeter, or less if you want it to be less sweet.
- Add a scoop of protein powder or a spoonful of nut butter to give it more energy.
- If you want to make it dairy-free, use almond, oat, or coconut milk instead of ordinary milk.
- For richness, use Greek yogurt or half an avocado.
- More caffeine? Put in a shot of espresso!
- A twist of chocolate? For a mocha flavor, add a teaspoon of cocoa powder.
- More protein? A scoop of chocolate or vanilla protein powder works well.
- Put your coffee on an ice cube tray and freeze it ahead of time to make a thicker smoothie.
- Put the ingredients in a freezer bag (without the milk) so you can quickly grab them and combine them.
- Fresh is best! You should drink this smoothie straight away.
- Storage for a short time? You can keep it in the fridge for up to 24 hours, but you should shake it or blend it again before you consume it.
- Make packs of smoothies! Put all the ingredients except the milk in a ziplock bag and freeze them for a quick way to mix and go.
