Let’s get this done!
What You’ll Need

- Blender and measuring cups
- Serving glass that is clear
- 1 cup of milk (or almond or oat milk if you don’t eat dairy)
- 1 banana that has been frozen (to make it creamy)
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
- 1 tsp of matcha powder
- ½ cup of Greek yogurt (or a dairy-free substitute)
- 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ½ cup of ice cubes (to make it thicker)
Instructions

Step 1: Mix everything together.
- Put everything in a blender: milk, frozen banana, protein powder, matcha, yogurt, honey, vanilla, and ice.
- Blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Step 2: Give it to someone and enjoy.
- Put it in a glass.
The shake should be thick and bubbly! - Add a garnish and serve.
If you want, you can add more matcha powder and honey over top.
Tips & Variations
- Use bananas that have been frozen! They make the shake thick and creamy without needing more ice.
- Mix well. Blend matcha for at least 30 seconds to make it really smooth.
- Make it sweeter or less sweet. Skip the honey if your protein powder is already sweet.
- Want more greens? Put in a handful of spinach; you won’t even taste it!
- Make it even thicker! If you want a really thick shake, use coconut cream instead of milk.
- If you don’t want dairy, use almond, oat, or coconut milk and yogurt that doesn’t have dairy.
- Add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds or peanut butter to get more protein.
- For a sweeter variation, use a Medjool date instead of honey.
- Skip the banana and pour over ice instead for an iced latte variation!
Storage & Serving
Best when fresh!
If you make it ahead of time, keep it in the fridge for up to a day and shake it before you drink it.
That’s all there is to it: your Matcha Protein Shake is ready! It has a smooth texture, fills you up, and is full of components that give you energy to keep you going all day. Give it a try, snap a picture, and tell me how it went. Cheers! 🍵💪✨
