Instructions

Blending ingredients for Mint Chocolate Chip Protein Iced Coffee

  1. Mix the base.
Put cold brew coffee, chocolate protein powder, almond milk, peppermint extract, cocoa powder, and sweetener (if using) in a blender. Mix until smooth.
  2. Mix again after adding ice.
Put ice cubes in the blender and blend on high until the drink is thick, creamy, and frothy.
  3. Serve and decorate.
Put the mix in a large glass. Add a fresh mint leaf and small chocolate chips on top for a splash of color. Put in a reusable straw and enjoy!

Tips and Variations

  • Mix everything together (except the ice) the night before and put it in the fridge. When you’re ready to drink, just pour over ice.
  • Put in popsicle molds and freeze for a delightful treat for kids.
  • Use a chocolate protein powder that is good quality. It makes a big difference in how creamy and tasty it is!
  • Put in only a few drops of peppermint extract to start. It’s strong, so you can always add more if you need to.
  • To keep the protein powder from clumping, mix everything together first, except for the ice.
  • Put leftover coffee in ice cube trays and freeze it to keep it from getting watery.
  • Let the youngsters help! They can put the mint leaves on top or sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
  • You can use oat milk, coconut milk, or conventional dairy milk instead of almond milk.
  • No peppermint oil? For ordinary chocolate protein iced coffee, you can add a drop of mint essential oil or leave it out.
  • For a more decadent treat, put a spoonful of whipped cream on top.
  • Want more protein? Add a little bit of pasteurized liquid egg whites.
  • The ideal way to consume this iced coffee is fresh, but you can keep it in the fridge for up to 24 hours (just shake it up before you drink it).
  • Put leftovers in ice cube trays and freeze them. Then, when you’re ready, combine them again for a cool treat.
