  • ◯ ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ◯ ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ◯ ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ◯ 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ◯ ½ cup of dried apples, finely chopped
  • ◯ 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • ◯ 1 tbsp of butter that isn’t salted
  • ◯ 1 tablespoon of apple cider or water
  • ◯ ¼ cup of crushed graham crackers

Instructions

Cooked apple mixture being prepared in a small saucepan

  1. Prepare the apples for cooking.
Put the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir in the dried apples, brown sugar, and apple cider (or water). Stir the apples every now and then while they cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until they start to soften. Take it off the heat and let it cool.
  2. Put the chocolate in the microwave.
Put white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth. Take off the heat and add the cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add the apple mixture and mix it in.
Stir the cooked apple mixture into the fudge base very carefully, making sure that the apple pieces are spread out evenly.
  4. Pour into the pan.
Put parchment paper on the bottom of an 8×8-inch baking dish, then spread the fudge evenly.
  5. Put on the topping.
Add a light dusting of cinnamon and crushed graham crackers on top.
  6. Let it cool and set.
Put it in the fridge for at least two hours or until it is firm.
  7. Cut into pieces.
When the fudge is set, use the parchment paper to lift it out, cut it into squares, and enjoy!

Tips & Variations

  • Use apples that have dried! Fresh apples have too much water in them, which can make the fudge too soft.
  • Toast the cinnamon! To get the best flavor, heat it in a dry pan for 30 seconds.
  • Let it sit for a while. For the best texture, chill for at least two hours before cutting.
  • Add crushed graham crackers on top before putting it in the fridge to make it taste more like apple pie.
  • Want more spice? Add half a teaspoon of apple pie spice to make the flavor even warmer.
  • If you don’t want to use dairy, use coconut condensed milk and dairy-free white chocolate.
  • For a stronger apple flavor, add ½ tsp of apple extract.
  • To make it crunchy, add chopped pecans or walnuts.
  • For a sweeter version, drizzle caramel over the top before putting it in the fridge.

Storage

  • Put it in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Want to keep it for longer? You can freeze the fudge for up to three months. Before serving, let it thaw.
