Ingredients

Ingredients for Mocha Biscuit Pudding

  • 200 grams of digestive biscuits (or any other type of tea biscuit)
  • 1 cup of strong brewed coffee that has cooled
  • 1 cup of thick cream
  • ½ cup of milk that has been condensed
  • ¼ cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon of instant coffee powder
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ½ cup of melted dark chocolate
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for the top)

  • A bowl for mixing
  • Whisk
  • A shallow dish for soaking cookies
  • Serving cups or glass dishes

Tips & Variations

  • Drink strong coffee! A strong espresso or dark roast is excellent.
  • Want it to have more chocolate? Add more melted dark chocolate to the cream mixture.
  • Put it in the fridge overnight to make it firmer.
  • No dairy? Use coconut cream and chocolate that doesn’t have milk in it.
  • For an added treat, add crushed nuts or whipped cream on top.

Instructions

Mixing mocha cream for pudding

  1. Make the coffee and let it cool.
    Make a cup of strong coffee and let it cool down.
  2. Make the cream for the mocha.
    Whisk together heavy cream, condensed milk, cocoa powder, instant coffee, vanilla extract, and melted dark chocolate in a mixing bowl until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Put the cookies in the coffee.
    For 2 to 3 seconds, dip each biscuit into the cooled coffee until it is soft.
  4. Put the pudding in layers.
    Put the coffee-soaked biscuits in a glass dish and then cover them with a lot of mocha cream. Do this until all the ingredients are gone.
  5. Put the pudding in the fridge.
    Put a lid on it and put it in the fridge for at least four hours (or overnight for optimal results).
  6. Add a garnish and serve.
    Before serving, sprinkle cocoa powder, chocolate shavings, or more coffee powder on top.
