Ingredients for Four Servings

  • ( ) 1 pound of ground beef, turkey, chicken, or pork
  • ( ) 3 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes; 1 onion, chopped; 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • ( ) Two cloves of minced garlic
  • ( ) 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • ( ) 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • ( ) ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • ( ) ½ tsp salt
  • ( ) ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ( ) 1 cup of beef or chicken broth
  • ( ) One cup of shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite kind)

Instructions

  1. Put olive oil in a pan and heat it. Add diced potatoes and cook until lightly browned and starting to soften, about 8–10 minutes. Put aside.
  2. In the same pan, sauté the ground meat with the onion until it is no longer pink, about 5 to 7 minutes. If necessary, drain out extra fat.
  3. Add bell pepper, garlic, and seasonings. Cook until the food is mushy and smells good.

  1. Put the potatoes back in the pan, add the stock, cover, and let them cook for 5 minutes, or until they are soft.
  2. Add shredded cheddar on top, cover it, and let it melt into a golden, bubbling coating.
  3. Add parsley as a garnish and eat it right out of the skillet.
