Quick Salisbury Steak Meatballs in Your Slow Cooker

You can create quick Salisbury steak meatballs in your slow cooker with a bag of frozen meatballs. These tasty nibbles cook perfectly in their thick gravy and make a great appetizer or supper.
We always keep a bag of frozen meatballs in the house.
They always come through for me when I need them.
But my kids get tired of eating the same stuff over and over again.
So I always think of fresh ways to serve them.
You know, just fooling them into eating the same thing over and over.
But no one cares about these Salisbury steak meatballs!
They are nothing like spaghetti and meatballs or meatball subs.
They are instead flavorful meatballs in a thick, brown mushroom sauce, just like Salisbury steaks!
Ingredients

- 1 3-pound bag of frozen meatballs
- 1 big yellow onion, peeled and cut into thin slices
- 2 cans of condensed meaty mushroom soup (10.75 oz each)
- 1 packet of onion and mushroom soup mix
- 1 1/2 cups of beef broth
- A1 steak sauce, 1/4 cup
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
This is the simplest approach to achieve the taste of salisbury steak that you can think of!
Instructions
- Put the meatballs and onions in the bowl of a slow cooker and mix them together.
1 large yellow onion and 1 3 lb. package of frozen meatballs
Put the slow cooker away. - Put the rest of the ingredients in a mixing dish, but leave out the cornstarch. Then, use a whisk to stir them together until they are all mixed in.
Two 10.75-ounce cans of condensed meaty mushroom soup, one packet of onion mushroom soup mix, one and a half cups of beef broth, and a quarter cup of A1 steak sauce.
Spread the sauce evenly over the meatballs, then mix it in.
Mix everything together well.

- Cover the slow cooker and cook the meatballs on HIGH for three to four hours.
Put a lid on it and cook it on HIGH for 3–4 hours. - Take 1/4 cup of the juice out of the crockpot and pour it into a small bowl about 30 minutes before you want to serve the meatballs.
Mix the cornstarch into the bowl with the liquid until everything is smooth and well mixed.
2 tablespoons of cornstarch - Put the mixture back in the crockpot and stir it.
Put the contents back in the crockpot and stir it all together. Keep cooking with the lid on.
Put the lid back on the slow cooker and let it stew for another half hour or until the gravy thickens. - Enjoy and serve!
Serve hot on top of mashed potatoes or boiled egg noodles.

Serving Suggestions and Tips
I like to serve these meatballs with mashed potatoes or cooked egg noodles, just like I would serve salisbury steak.
My kids prefer to eat these on their own or with fries and melted shredded mozzarella cheese on top, like poutine.
Both ways are tasty!
In the fridge, leftovers can last up to four days if they are kept in an airtight container.
Put it in the microwave and cook it up until it’s warm.
You can usually switch out any kind of meatball you like, such chicken, turkey, or something else. You should use beef meatballs in this recipe since they will make the end result taste the most like salisbury steak.
I also don’t think you should switch your cream of soup for a different kind or use chicken or veggie broth instead of beef broth.
You might add the presliced mushrooms you can buy in the produce area of the grocery store at the beginning of the cooking process if you want to add more veggies.
