Shaker for cocktails
Strainer
Glass for martinis
Small sifter for cocoa powder
For an added elegant touch, chill your martini glass ahead of time. Just put it in the freezer for a few minutes!
Freshly brewed espresso is preferred, but strong coffee will work too.
The cocoa powder on top is what makes it taste like tiramisu.
You can mix the espresso, coffee liqueur, vodka, and Irish cream ahead of time and keep it in the fridge. Just shake it with cream and ice when you’re ready to serve!
Instructions
- Mix together 1 oz of chilled espresso, 1 oz of coffee liqueur, 1 oz of vodka, 1 oz of Irish cream, and 1/2 oz of heavy cream in a cocktail shaker.
- Put ice cubes in the shaker.

- Close the shaker and shake it hard for about 20 seconds to cool and froth the drink.
- Put the cocktail through a strainer into a cold martini glass.
- Using a tiny sifter, sprinkle cocoa powder on top. You may also add a ladyfinger or a chocolate shaving to the rim for decoration.
Tips and Variations
- No Irish cream? Add amaretto for a nutty flavor or vanilla liqueur for more sweetness.
- No dairy? Use coconut milk or almond milk creamer instead of cream.
- For an added treat, pour chocolate syrup into the glass before you pour.
This cocktail is best made fresh, but you can keep the remaining mixture in the fridge (without the ice) for up to a day and shake it again before serving.
